Wilson & Teton Pass
Teton Pass Towing & Recovery
Teton Pass (WY-22) climbs to 8,431 feet with sustained 10% grades — one of the steepest commuter highways in America, carrying thousands of workers between Teton Valley and Jackson every day, in every condition WYDOT allows. It produces more recoveries per mile than any road we serve.

The pass's specialties
- Slide-offs on the switchbacks and at Windy Point
- Overheated brakes and the runaway-truck situations that follow — both runaway ramps see use every year
- Vehicles ignoring the truck restrictions and finding out why
- Snowbank burials during storm cycles
- Avalanche-closure strandings
- Dead vehicles at the summit trailhead lot
Why call us for the pass
Wilson and the base of the pass are minutes from our Jackson yard, and our operators work WY-22 every season — both slopes, the switchbacks, and the runaway ramps. We know where a recovery can be staged safely and where it can't.
Descending WY-22 with hot brakes? Gear down now, use the ramp if you can't slow — never ride the brakes to the bottom. Off the road and out of the lane, then call 307-733-8697 (TOWS).
